Bro. Ricky was called Maple Ave. Baptist Church in February of 2022. The majority of his 20-year ministry has been served in Geneva County. Bro. Ricky grew up in Geneva Alabama and married his high school sweet heart , in October 1988. They have two sons, Justin and Josh. They have one daughter in-law, Adrienne, and a granddaughter, Rylee Bro. Ricky has a Bachelor’s Degree from The Baptist College of Florida in Christian Education and a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.

Michael Herrera,
Minister to Children / Youth & College
Michael has served Maple Avenue for over eight years in various capacities. He graduated from the Baptist College of Florida with a Bachelors degree, and is currently pursuing a Masters degree from Southern Seminary. He is married to a wonderful lady named Bailey. Together they welcomed their son Jude to the world in November of 2018. They also have two puppies-Enzo and Lulu. Michael was born on December 19th, 1987 in Atlanta, GA. Michael has a love for fun and games, but his true love, apart from his wife, is being a good Bible teacher. He loves teaching God’s word in a way that is interesting and impactful. His greatest focus is gospel-centered preaching and teaching.
Kristy Hughes,
Ministry Assistant
Kristy came to the MABC family in October 2022. She graduated High School in her hometown of Samson, Al. in 2008. She married Justin Hughes in 2011, and they have two wonderful children, Keirsten and Hunter, both attend Geneva City Schools. Kristy and her family are residents of Geneva, Al., She has a true love for God and loves to help others and has been a wonderful asset to Maple Ave since coming onboard.
